The Formosan Termite is the most aggressive and destructive termite in the state of Florida. It is originally from Southern China, and the only subterranean termite found in Hawaii. These termites are predominantly found in the soil, but can build what is called a carton colony if there is enough moisture present. All structures with any type of wood construction should be protected, with some type of barrier system.
